Cookie Policy
Last updated: January 2026
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies this website uses, what they do, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They can be necessary for a site to function, or used for statistics, preferences or advertising. This site keeps cookie use minimal: one necessary cookie, and optional categories that are off unless you enable them.
2. Categories we use
Necessary (always on)
Required for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. These cannot be disabled through the banner, because the banner itself depends on them.
Analytics (optional)
Anonymous usage statistics that help us understand which pages are useful. Enabled only if you accept them; Google Consent Mode keeps analytics storage denied until you do.
Marketing (optional)
Advertising measurement cookies. We do not currently run advertising trackers on this site; this category exists so that, if we ever do, they will only activate with your explicit consent.
Functional (optional)
Remember non-essential preferences, such as display or language choices.
3. Cookies used on this site
| Cookie | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
cookie_consent | Necessary | Stores your cookie preferences (accepted/rejected categories) | 6 months |
_lfc_session | Necessary | Maintains form security between pages (if enabled by the server) | Session |
_ga | Analytics | Anonymous visitor statistics — set only after consent | 13 months |
_lfc_prefs | Functional | Interface preferences such as language — set only after consent | 6 months |
_lfc_ads | Marketing | Advertising measurement — not currently in use; consent-gated | 3 months |
4. Managing your consent
When you first visit, the cookie banner lets you accept all, reject all, or manage categories individually (Necessary stays on). Your choice is stored in the cookie_consent cookie and in your browser's local storage. To change your mind later, delete the cookie_consent cookie for this site — the banner will appear again on your next visit.
5. Disabling cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies entirely through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Block all cookies.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.
Blocking necessary cookies may affect how parts of the site behave — in particular, the cookie banner will reappear on every visit because your choice cannot be remembered.
